Female PMOI Supporter Prisoners in Qarchak Prison: You Cannot “Exile” the Resistance! You Are Beating the Air!
At noon on Saturday, July 19, 2025, the regime’s executioners in Qezelhessar Prison informed political prisoners that Saeed Massouri, one of the longest-imprisoned political prisoners, is to be exiled to Zahedan Prison. According to Hassan Ghobadi, one of the deputies of Qezelhessar, this decision was made by the Sentence Enforcement Office at the so-called Moqaddas Prosecutor’s Office. This office, which was previously located in the notorious Evin Prison, has been temporarily relocated to Ferdowsi Street following the evacuation of Evin.
The forced transfer of Saeed Massouri, who has been imprisoned for 25 years without a single day of furlough, is part of the regime’s pressure campaign—particularly against PMOI-affiliated prisoners—in an attempt to crush the “No to Execution Tuesdays” campaign, which has been ongoing in 48 prisons across the country for the past year and a half.
On the morning of Wednesday, July 16, 2025, the prison guards forcibly removed Saeed Massouri from his ward for transfer to an unknown location. However, due to protests by other prisoners, they were compelled to return him to the ward temporarily. Subsequently, the Secretariat of the National Council of Resistance of Iran issued a statement warning against the regime’s preparation for retaliation against political prisoners.
In a message dated July 17, 2025, Saeed Massouri wrote: “This kidnapping under the guise of a transfer is not just directed at me. It is fundamentally aimed at controlling, isolating, and silencing prisoners in order to escalate repression and intensify executions—just as happened in 1988.” He added: “As a political prisoner and supporter of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK), especially during the days of Muharram and inspired by the eternal message of Imam Hussein, I wish to declare that never shall we retreat even one step from the path of freedom and dignity due to imprisonment, exile, or executions.”
A group of political prisoners affiliated with the PMOI in Fashafuyeh Prison in Tehran, while condemning the forced exile of Saeed, emphasized that this act is reminiscent of the vile abductions of Mehdi Hassani, Behrouz Ehsani, Miryousef Younesi, and Ali Younesi—inhumane operations orchestrated by the Ministry of Intelligence. Now it is Saeed Massouri’s turn, and through his abduction, they are preparing the ground for “a crime to be committed.” The prisoners of Fashafuyeh added: “Just as we filled Evin Prison with chants of ‘Dictatorship, crimes—death to this rule!’ after each abduction, with empty hands and clenched fists, we now see ourselves standing alongside our fellow captives in Qezelhessar and draw inspiration from their steadfastness with the call to Stay Vigilant. We view these actions as the reaction of a desperate and oppressive regime taking revenge on the Iranian people and political prisoners for its failures.”
Additionally, a group of female political prisoners affiliated with the PMOI in Qarchak Prison in Varamin issued a statement condemning the exile of Saeed Massouri. They wrote: “The executioners of the desperate Velayat-e Faqih regime have recently, following the war, intensified their pressure on the people and prisoners to block the uprising and the people’s final battle. But never shall such repression force the resilient political prisoners to take a step back from the Ashura-like journey toward freedom and human dignity! We remind the regime: You cannot ‘exile’ the vast resistance that has taken root across the homeland and its prisons through the blood of martyrs and the suffering and struggle of prisoners. You are beating the air!”
