Genf – 2. November 2023 – Der Nationale Widerstandsrat Iran (NWRI) verurteilt aufs Schärfste die Übergabe des Vorsitzes im zweitägigen Sozialforum des UN-Menschenrechtsrates in Genf (2.-3.11.2023) an den Botschafter des iranischen Regimes.
Der NWRI betont: „Die Präsidentschaft dieses UN-Gremiums durch den Vertreter des religiösen faschistischen Regimes des Iran ist eine Verhöhnung der Allgemeinen Erklärung der Menschenrechte und internationaler Konventionen, da der Iran der erste Verletzer dieser Prinzipien ist. Im Iran herrscht in der Tat ein Hinrichtungs- und Massakerregime.
Heute wurde auf der Pressekonferenz des Nationalen Widerstandsrat Iran in Genf die Erklärung von mehr als 180 Menschenrechtsvertretern, prominenten Richtern und Nobelpreisträgern an den UN-Generalsekretär und den Hohen Kommissar für Menschenrechte veröffentlicht, in dem der Vorsitz des Sozialforums des Menschenrechtsrats durch den Botschafter des iranischen Regimes verurteilt wurde. Diese Erklärung wurde ebenfalls von über einhundert Parlamentsabgeordneten aus verschiedenen europäischen Ländern, insbesondere von deutschen Bundestagsabgeordneten, unterzeichnet. Unter den unterzeichnenden deutschen Bundestagsabgeordneten sind Gitta Connemann, Christoph de Vries und Diana Stöcker zu sehen.
Der NWRI-Sprecher in Genf, Behzad Naziri, sagte: „Der Botschafter des iranischen Regimes übernimmt die Leitung dieses Sozialforums in einer Situation, in der der Generalsekretär vor den Vereinten Nation bekundet, dass die Hinrichtungen im Iran im Jahr 2023 im Vergleich zum Vorjahr um 30 % zugenommen haben.
Die Präsidentschaft des Vertreters des Regimes auf diesem zweitägigen Gipfel hat außer den Hinrichtungen und Tötungen des Regimes im Inland sowie Krieg und Terrorismus im Ausland keine Ergebnisse. Der Mullah-Diktatur eine solche Plattform zu geben, wird gewiss das Regime in der Fortsetzung von Hinrichtung und Massaker im Inland sowie der Kriegstreiberei und dem Terrorismus im Ausland noch dreister machen“.
Die junge Iranerin Safura Sadidi, deren Vater vom iranischen Regime als politischer Gefangener hingerichtet wurde, sagte im Namen der Familien der Opfer dieser Diktatur: „Wir, die Familie der Hinrichtungsopfer, sind wütend darüber, dass die Menschenrechtsinstitutionen der Vereinten Nationen durch Vertreter des iranischen Regimes verschmutzt werden. Dies ist ein Regime, das seit 44 Jahren im Iran Verbrechen begeht und 120.000 politische Gefangene hingerichtet hat. Dieses Regime sollte aus dem Menschenrechtsrat ausgeschlossen werden.“

Stellungnahme gegenüber den Vereinten Nationen
Sehr geehrter Hochkommissar,
In einem undemokratischen Verfahren hat die im Iran herrschende religiöse Diktatur, einer der größten Menschenrechtsverletzer der Welt, den Vorsitz des Sozialforums des Menschenrechtsrates der Vereinten Nationen (UNHRC) übernommen, das am 2. und 3. November 2023 in Genf stattfinden soll.
Diese Plattform wird dem iranischen Regime zu einer Zeit gegeben, in der es neben der eklatanten Verletzung der Menschenrechte im Iran die größte Rolle bei der Verwüstung der Region des Nahen Ostens spielt, die in den letzten Tagen den Tod und die Vertreibung von Hunderttausenden von Menschen auf beiden Seiten verursacht hat.
Die Übernahme der Plattform der Vereinten Nationen durch ein Regime, das dafür berüchtigt ist, Massaker zu begehen, Hinrichtungen durchzuführen und Krieg zu verbreiten, ist ein Dolchstoß ins Herz der Menschenrechte, der den Terrorismus anheizt und den regionalen und globalen Frieden gefährdet. Sie verstößt in eklatanter Weise gegen die Grundsätze, auf denen die Vereinten Nationen gegründet wurden und für die Millionen von Menschen ihr Leben geopfert haben. Dies ist ein dunkler Fleck in der Geschichte der Vereinten Nationen.
Die Vereinten Nationen haben dieses Regime in 69 Resolutionen wegen grober und systematischer Menschenrechtsverletzungen verurteilt. Das klerikale Regime hat in den ersten zehn Monaten des Jahres 2023 mehr als 600 Menschen hingerichtet, 750 Demonstranten während des Aufstands von 2022 und 1 500 weitere während des Aufstands von 2019 ermordet. Am 24. November 2022 setzte der Menschenrechtsrat eine internationale Untersuchungskommission ein, um die eklatanten Verstöße des Regimes während des Aufstandes 2022 zu untersuchen. Am 15. Dezember 2022 verurteilte die Generalversammlung der Vereinten Nationen die brutalen und systematischen Menschenrechtsverletzungen im Iran. Am 4. April 2023 verurteilte der Menschenrechtsrat die Menschenrechtsverletzungen im Iran und erneuerte den Auftrag des UN-Sonderberichterstatters zur Lage der Menschenrechte im Iran.
Die Ernennung des Vertreters eines solchen Regimes zum Vorsitzenden des Sozialforums des Menschenrechtsrates der Vereinten Nationen (UNHRC) wird vom klerikalen Regime als grünes Licht für weitere Folter und Tötungen angesehen und gibt seinen Unterdrückungskräften die Sicherheit, dass sie für ihre Verbrechen nicht zur Rechenschaft gezogen werden.
Wir fordern die Vertreter aller demokratischen Länder und alle Menschenrechtsverfechter auf, dagegen zu protestieren, dass das iranische Regime den Vorsitz des UN-Menschenrechtsgremiums übernimmt, und von der Teilnahme an einer solchen Sitzung abzusehen.
